Multiphase flow and transport modelling
Entity:
Development from small to large scale of hydrogen injection into underground storage, migration into storage and extraction. The models take into account the effects of geological formation heterogeneity and temporal fluctuations on mixing and dispersion processes. Experience in the development of scaled transportation models.
Challenges met
- Quantification of mixing and transport processes.
- Determination of storage efficiency.
Scope of application
- Research centres, industry
