The first Demo Day of the H2CAT network shows to the companies of the sector the most innovative technologies on production, storage and distribution of renewable hydrogen

Yesterday, 21 September, the H2CAT network organised its first #DemoDay at the Barcelona School of Engineering where it brought together companies and institutions from the renewable hydrogen sector to showcase the latest technological innovations of the network members in the field of hydrogen production, storage and distribution.

The day consisted of a first part in which representatives of the network’s member entities presented a compilation of their technologies and services in this field. In a second part, a demonstration space was set up in the faculty lobby to show some of these technologies in operation.

This activity has enabled the attending companies to learn first-hand about the technologies and services available at universities and research centres, as well as the researchers who are working on these innovative projects. A way to bring the scientific world closer to industry.

The event ended with a visit to the laboratories of the UPC Specific Hydrogen Research Centre (CER-H2), located on the Campus Diagonal-Besòs.

The H2CAT network plans to organise several Demo Days specialising in the different areas of work of the network throughout the project.

This programme is funded with the support of the Agency for the Management of University and Research Grants and the Department of Research and Universities of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
