International meeting with a business mission from Baden Württemberg visiting Catalonia

Today, 6 October, the H2CAT network has given a presentation on its capabilities and potential for international collaboration to a business and institutional delegation from Baden-Württemberg visiting Catalonia as part of a business mission, led by the President of the Land Baden-Württemberg, Winfried Kretschmann. The conference day “Promoting green hydrogen and the transformation of mobility between Baden Württemberg and Catalonia”, organised by ACCIÓ, was attended by more than 20 entities, technology centres and major companies from this German region. The H2CAT network has been invited by ACCIÓ to give a presentation that provides an overview of the map of capabilities in the world of research in Catalonia around green hydrogen by its Director, Miriam Diaz de los Bernardos.

The main objectives of this visit are to learn about the Catalan ecosystem and the value chain around green hydrogen and the transformation of the mobility sector in Catalonia. It is also an opportunity to strengthen cooperation between the two regions both within the framework of the Four Motors for Europe (4ME) and bilaterally around the green hydrogen table.

Baden-Württemberg, a highly industrialised region located in the southwest of Germany, is known for its strong business network and an export-oriented economy that invests huge amounts in innovation, research and development. It enjoys a wide range of industries, such as automotive, mechanical and electrical engineering, medical technology, energy and environment, ICT, and sustainable construction. This diversity fosters cross-sector collaborations and partnerships.

After the presentation, the network was able to establish international contacts with organisations and companies from Baden-Württemberg in its final networking session.
