Entity:
Separation and purification of CO2 in a wide range of concentrations and conditions, using inorganic compounds with high exchange capacity. This can be applied in low emission source situations, such as agriculture, and where CO2 is needed as a raw material. These absorbent/separating materials have the versatility of being incorporated in polymeric matrices that facilitate the generation of different formats that can be validated in different fields, such as biogas production and/or syngas generation processes.
Challenges met
- CO2 capture from industrial gas streams: hydrogen purification, combustion emissions, biogas upgrading, CO2 recycling.
Scope of application
- Industry in general, all those related to processes where CO2 generation is present. For example, food industry, agriculture, etc.
- Reduction of greenhouse gases in traditional industrial processes, generating an added value to these processes by the generation of CO2, which can later be used as a product or in direct commercialisation.
