Entity:
Design of reactors at laboratory scale, prototype level and at industrial scale for different types of reactions, such as thermochemical, gasification, pyrolysis or combustion. Advice on the selection of the most suitable materials to be used. Additionally, the sizing and location of gas inlets and outlets, and thermal conditioning systems, such as cooling systems or insulating elements, can also be supported.
Challenges met
- Design of chambers containing the reaction, in order to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Advising on the selection of materials capable of withstanding the thermal, chemical and mechanical loads to be applied to the system.
Scope of application
Industry in general – any industry that has reactors where chemical reactions take place (combustion systems, gasification, pyrolysis, etc.)
