Multi-criteria optimisation for the management of a grid with multiple energy vectors
Entity:
Multi-criteria optimisation module taking into account technical and economic criteria for the efficient management of a grid with multiple primary energy sources to cover the thermal and electrical needs of multiple diverse loads, air conditioning, industrial processes and mobility. The differential feature lies in using a hybrid application with physical models and data (machine learning). Energy efficiency is considered and the operation of H2 production, storage and use systems is optimised. Consideration is given to conversion efficiency, operating point efficiency, environmental conditions and energy prices
Challenges met
- Search for the best mode of operation with the presence of multiple generation, demand and storage alternatives
- Optimisation taking into account economic, technical and environmental aspects
- Adaptation to varying conditions dynamically instead of preset program settings
Scope of application
- Management of energy communities or microgrids with multi-energyvector.
- Management of large infrastructures with own production
- Value-added services provided by marketing companies to their customers.
