Design of bipolar plates made with different technologies
Entity:
Design of bipolar plates for electrolysers and hydrogen fuel cells, taking into account aspects such as the selection of materials and the manufacturing process, the leak-tightness of the assembly and the assembly of the system, among others. Possibility to assist the design through FEM simulation at the mechanical level, to ensure the structural stability of the assembly once assembled.
Challenges met
- Design and validation of bipolar plates as a key element in electrolysers and fuel cells.
- Design for manufacturing with different technologies, e.g. conventional machining or stamping processes.
Scope of application
Industry in general, any industry that can incorporate fuel cells or electrolysers at some point in the process (energy, automotive, construction, etc.)
